How We Make Money

Wayfound makes money two ways: paid subscriptions, and affiliate commissions when you book through a partner link.

The core app is free — you can build a trip, run searches, and see full fit scores and watch-outs without paying anything. A paid plan lifts the usage limits for people planning a lot. When you do click a booking link and complete a purchase on a partner site, we may receive a small commission, at no additional cost to you — the price is identical whether you use our link or go directly.

Either way, recommendations are based on your profile and preferences, never on what pays us.

Explorer is free. It includes one active trip, full verdicts and fit scores, side-by-side comparison, and a weekly allowance of searches and “Ask Wayfound” questions.

Voyager ($10/month or $80/year) removes those limits — unlimited trips, searches, and questions — for people planning frequently. Full details are on our pricing page.

Subscriptions are our most direct source of revenue, and that's deliberate: we'd rather be paid by the people using the product than lean on booking commissions.

This list may be updated as we add new partners.

Recommendations are independent. Our fit scores are calculated based on your personality profile and preferences — not on which options pay us the highest commission.

We will never rank an option higher because it pays more, hide better-fit options to promote partners, or let affiliate relationships influence our scoring algorithm.

Transparency. Affiliate booking links are clearly labeled with partner names. Our scoring methodology is identical for all options, affiliate or not.
